Specialty/Practice Description:

I am a Board Certified Psychoanalyst in the United States (PCPsa), and a Clinical Psychologist in California (PSY15507). I am also a Fellow of the International Psychoanalytical Association, (FIPA). I have served as President of the Board (2014-2018), of my local Institute and Society, the Psychoanalytic Center of California (PCC). I have served as President of the Confederation of Independent Psychoanalytic Societies (CIPS) from June 2009-July 2013, and Secretary of NAPsaC from 2013-2017. I serve as one of the North American Editors for the Inter-Regional Encyclopedic Dictionary (IRED), a long-term project of the International Psychoanalytical Association.
My private practice is in Los Angeles (Beverly Hills), where I see adults and couples for psychoanalysis and psychotherapy. I teach psychoanalytic theory and supervise psychoanalytic candidates and psychotherapy students at the PCC. I am also a member of the Infant Observation faculty at the PCC. I am faculty and supervisor for the Wright Institute, Los Angeles (WILA), an internship training site for Master’s and Doctorate level trainees.
I welcome any questions about psychoanalysis, PCC, CIPS and NAPsaC and the IPA.
