North American Psychoanalytic Confederation Essay Project
“Bearing the Unknown: COVID-19 and catastrophic change”
IntroductionNAPsaC analyst and candidate members were invited to submit short essays about the pandemic and co-occurring catastrophic change including protests that ensued in the wake of the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.
The goal of this NAPsaC Board sponsored project was to provide a venue for sharing our collective voices and collaborating as a profession in the North American region during a time of social unrest and emotional turbulence.
As analysts, we know that talking helps us think about how best to proceed. I thank each of the authors for sharing their voices with all of us, to help us feel, think, and move forward.
