The North American Psychoanalytic Confederation (NAPsaC) is pleased to announce the official launch of its newly redesigned website. Built with a modern, fresh aesthetic and enhanced functionality, the upgraded digital platform is tailored to better serve member organizations, psychoanalytic professionals, and the broader mental health community across North America and the Pacific Rim.

The updated platform introduces a streamlined experience designed to foster greater collaboration and connection throughout the region. Key highlights of the new website include:

    • Modernized Theme & Layout: A refreshed, user-friendly design that makes navigating organizational resources, history, and updates intuitive across all desktop and mobile devices.

    • Integrated Event Registration: Visitors can now seamlessly register for upcoming events directly through the site.

    • Centralized Community Event Sharing: Member organizations can easily submit and showcase their local events, workshops, and lectures on a shared calendar, amplifying outreach across the entire psychoanalytic network.

    • Simplified Online Donations: An upgraded, secure portal allows supporters to make contributions directly online, furthering NAPsaC’s mission to support and elevate psychoanalytic training and practice.

"This new platform represents a significant step forward in how we connect with our member institutes and the psychoanalytic community at large," said NAPsaC leadership. "By centralizing event promotion and simplifying registration and contributions, we are creating a more vibrant, accessible hub for our members."

A panel presentation entitled "Society's Polarization and Radicalization: What Can Psychoanalysis Offer to Clarify and Alleviate?" took place on June 5, 2026 at the CPS Congress in Montreal.

This is the first time that NAPsaC has participated in the CPS Congress, and we were pleased to receive very positive feedback.

Many thanks to the IPA for their co-sponsorship of the presentation.

This committee has proposed that NAPsaC become a coalition of membership organizations of the IPA, rather than being another membership organization itself.  The proposal, then is that the Board would be made up of 7 reps from each membership organization:  APsaA, Canada (CPS), and CIPS.  There would also be room for a rep from the Japanese Psychoanalytic Society and the Taiwanese Psychoanalytic Society.  Study groups sit on the NAPsaC Board, but do not vote.  This will make up a Board that is about 25 members.  That is close to the number that meets currently.

Projects, when agreed upon, would be by assessment for each organization.
